It’s been a few years but here I go again...
  • In the beginning there was a billet…
  • Working with my handmade cherry plane...cuts great!
  • A 40 grip flap wheel on a grinder works much faster than a gouge. I learned that from my old friend Ed Schaefer, a true master at this craft.
  • Ready to carve
  • Carved, sanded and scraped….wow
  • It’s starting to come together….
  • 7 coats of nitro
  • Curing for 2 weeks before rubbing and buff out
  • It pops when you add lacquer
  • Seymour Duncan S6 pickup installation
